Soldering is the main topic today especially focusing on how to connect copper pipes together.
The hands on skill includes how to cut the pipes, clean up the pipes and different methods on how to connect the pipes. The technician, Dave Hartwig, introduced the procedures to the students that silver soldering takes place at the lower temperature range than brazing.
Students start working on copper pipe cutting, and they know it well from the last class.
Also, they know how to cleaning up the pipes, deburring.
